The team Diables Rouges de Briancon was founded in 1934 and can proudly celebrate its 80 years anniversary this year. In their early stages the club was called 'Etoile Sportive Brianconnaise (ESB)'. Then it was named 'Hockey Club Brianconnais (HCB)' and later on Briancon Alpes Provence Hockey Club- before they became the SA Diables Rouges. For the last 10 years, the team finished the season in the top 4 of the French Hockey League, called Ligue Magnus. This last season they were crowned the French Champions. The CHL will be their first European Ice Hockey Experience.
