The Gap Hockey Club was founded in 1937, and grew up fast after building his first artificial ice in 1961. They won their championship in 1965 in junior U20. The club has now 33 french champion titles, 3 in Elite League (1977, 1978, 2015) and 2 in 2nd league (1995, 2009) and 28 in minor hockey. After some difficult years in the late 90s to 2000, the club is back to the top league since 2010 and will play for a 40th season in Magnus League. Gap is an important club in french hockey and hockey is number one sport in city and very important part of it. 19 native players played for French National team in world championships, The most famous are Christian Pouget and Baptiste Amar.
