The winner of the NordicBet MVP Trophy for the 2015-16 Champions Hockey League season is Ryan Lasch of Frolunda Gothenburg.
For the second straight season, the Nordic Bet MVP Trophy has been won by a Frolunda Gothenburg Forward. This year, the winner is Ryan Lasch, who is also the CHL's Cramo Top Scorer with 16 points.
The MVP award was presented to Lasch on the ice in Oulu tonight after his team won the 2015–16 Champions Hockey League Final.
“It's nice. I thank the fans who voted and everyone who supported that. Winning that is a reflection of the team – this was a team victory,” Lasch said after the Final game.
The voting was done by a combination of fan voting and a panel of experts. The panel included Johan Garpenlov, former NHLer and Swedish hockey legend and now an expert at NordicBet, Johan Svensson (aka Mr Madhawk, the biggest hockey blogger in Sweden), Finnish hockey journalist Vesa Rantanen, CHL Sports Director Bo "Kulon" Lennartsson and Magnus Linder, Global Marketing Manager at NordicBet.
