After a very strong 6-1 Semi-Finals First Game on the road, ZSC Lions Zurich held fellow National League competitors Genève-Servette to a 3-3 draw to secure the hosting rights to the Champions Hockey League Final.
"It's going to be a great event, it's an amazing arena and we have amazing fans," started after the game Santtu Kinnunen, "we're in for a tough game against Färjestad Karlstad!"
Coming back to the game, Zurich we're in a tough position in regard to the CHL venue dilemma, desperately needing to secure the draw with a tough Genève to make sure the ultimate game of the CHL season will be played in Switzerland for a second year running. How did the players feel that?
"We missed the rhythm we had in last week's game," he noted, "we had a lot of turnovers, but it was important that we secured the draw and the hosting rights. However, we're going to need to play a lot better against Färjestad Karlstad!"

How do you prepare or adjust for a Final? "We work on a lot of things as a team, set a strategy, work on our game. We also focus on syncing up," explained the 2018 Florida Panthers NHL Entry Draft pick.
The countdown to the final is on. Any last words to the fans? "Like I said, it's going to be a really great event. CHL games are against the best in Europe so I hope everyone who can will get to see the best in Zurich."
