The fans have voted - Alexander Petan's goal for Fehérvár AV19 in their 1-0 victory over Group D rivals GKS Katowice on Game Day 6 is our Best Goal of 2022/23!

"I remember the goal well," said Petan when asked about the game, "breakaways don’t come very often so when I saw a loose puck I jumped on it right away and put my head down and tried to skate as fast as I could."

"I got a little space from the defender and then used my speed to quickly fake to my backhand and put it in," he added.

His goal was the sole goal of the game that saw the first-ever Hungarian team to play in the Champions Hockey League end their debut on the European club ice hockey stage on a high note. 

"To score at home in front of our amazing fans in our first Champions Hockey League experience made it an even better feeling at that moment," thought Petan, "I am just grateful to have helped our team get another win!"
