Tappara Tampere's Christian Heljanko has been awarded the 2022/23 LGT MVP Award as decided by an expert jury and fan voting!

The 25-year-old Finnish goaltender's consistent table-topping performances all season long helped his side on their quest for the European Trophy.

With 12 games to his name in 2022/23, the Finnish international has made waves with his 95.12% Save Percentage, one of the best in the CHL this season, having let only 1.33 goals into his net on average per game.

He's also recorded four shutouts, his last being Tappara's 2-0 Semi-Finals First Game win over Swiss side EV Zug, which is the most of any goaltender this season.
