After the semi-finals this weekend, the four teams for the Continental Cup's final round, which will be played 12-14 January, have been decided.

Nomad Astana, Ritten, Sheffield Steelers, and Yunost Minsk will contest the "final four" of the IIHF Continental Cup in January 2018, after the semi-finals produced late drama this weekend. Ritten overcame DVTK Jegesmedvék in a "winner takes all" game to book their place in the final, while Sheffield outlasted Riga to also make it through.

Subject to approval from the Champions Hockey League Board, the winners of the Continental Cup will get a place in next season's CHL. Last season the Nottingham Panthers won the competition and went on to reach the CHL's Round of 16 this season.
