The biggest game of the 2024/25 season is just over two weeks away and while we wait for the big night to roll around, here's a breakdown of who could be manning the nets in Zurich's Swiss Life Arena on Tuesday, 18 February!

Šimon Hrubec
The ZSC Lions Zurich backstop has been a huge part of his team's dominant CHL form this season, lining up for nine of the reigning Swiss champions' games on Europe's biggest club ice hockey stage in 2024/25.
With a 92.76% save percentage, the 33-year-old has made over 200 saves and made the difference in games against some of the most established teams of the continent, including reigning DEL champions Eisbären Berlin and reigning CHL Champions Genève-Servette.
Only 16 goals have made it past Šimon Hrubec so far this CHL season, as the Czech has only tasted victory while in net for the Swiss club. Watch out for his dangerous plays from the back and decisive moves in one-on-one situations that could play a role in the upcoming Final!
Maxime Lagacé
Canadian goaltender Maxime Lagacé has been Färjestad Karlstad's clear choice between the posts this CHL season and he's repaid their trust splendidly.
The 32-year-old has jumped on for all but two of the club's games and racked up over 600 minutes of game time! There's no clear choice of what to highlight when running through his stats in that time, as the ex-AHL and NHL goalie has made over 200 saves, let in just 16 goals (good for a 92.63% save percentage that ranks him as one of the very best of goaltenders to have played eight or more games) and recorded two shutouts.
He's excelled in GSAX - the stat that quantifies saves above expected - where he's racked up an astounding 3.14! That ranks him as the very best of goaltenders to have played eight or more games.
Oh, and have we mentioned he's been somewhat of a lucky charm for the Swedish side, as he's only tasted the bitter taste of defeat once this season? That's a solid stat sheet to take into the most important game of the CHL calendar.
