Our final look at players nominated for this season's LGT MVP Award takes us to the highest-scoring defenseman in the 2019/20 Champions Hockey League.
Swedish defenseman Olle Alsing is the highest-scoring across the entire competition for his position. Heading into the Semi-Finals, he has three goals and 11 assists in 10 games for Djurgården Stockholm.
Having gone undrafted, the 23-year-old was signed by the Ottawa Senators in May 2019 and then loaned back to the Swedish outfit this season. And he's not just made an impression in the CHL either - in the SHL Alsing has put up 16 points in 30 games so far, already surpassing his total from last season in 19 fewer games. He was also called into the national team for two games earlier this season.
Alsing has been wearing the LGT Top Scorer's jersey for his team during this season's European campaign and is fast becoming a leader at both ends of the ice.
