Three teams have already qualified for the Champions Hockey League's Round of 16 and they could be joined by several more teams this week. Here are the scenarios in each group:
Group A
Already qualified: Nobody.
Could qualify this week:
KAC Klagenfurt – any combination that would have them 4 points clear of Tappara Tampere.
EHC Biel-Bienne – any combination that would have them 4 points clear of Tappara Tampere.
Group B
Already qualified: HC Pilsen and EV Zug.
Group C
Already qualified: Nobody.
Could qualify this week:
Luleå Hockey – a win of any kind.
Augsburger Panther – a win of any kind.
Group D
Already qualified: Nobody.
Could qualify this week:
Lausanne HC – a regulation win would clinch 1st place. With an OT win, they would still qualify if Lahti Pelicans vs Yunost Minsk is decided in OT.
Group E
Already qualified: Nobody.
Could qualify this week:
Kärpät Oulu – a regulation win would clinch 1st place. They would still qualify with any combination that keeps them 4 points clear of SC Bern.
Skellefteå AIK – could qualify with a win, provided they are at least 3 points clear of both SC Bern and Grenoble.
Group F
Already qualified: Adler Mannheim.
Could qualify this week:
Djurgården Stockholm – a win of any kind or an OT loss. They would also qualify with a regulation loss if Vienna Capitals fail to win in regulation.
Group G
Already qualified: Nobody.
Could qualify this week:
Red Bull Munich – a regulation win would clinch 1st place. With an OT win or OT loss they would also qualify, or with a regulation loss as long as HC Ambrì-Piotta don’t win in regulation.
Färjestad Karlstad – a regulation win, or any combination that would keep them at least 4 points clear of HC Ambrì-Piotta.
Group H
Already qualified: Nobody.
Could qualify this week:
Cardiff Devils – a regulation win. Could also qualify with an OT win, provided Mountfield HK lose in regulation.
Frölunda Indians – could qualify with a win, provided they are at least 3 points clear of Mountfield HK and Graz99ers.
