- Färjestad hold top spot in Group F
- Straubing look to snatch another win at home
- 5th CHL season for Färjestad, 1st for Straubing
The Straubing Tigers prepare to host Färjestad Karlstad as both teams meet for the second time in Group F. The first match witnessed the Swedes sweep Straubing with a 6-1 victory at home, as they dominated in shots taken 42-19.
In a post-game interview, Straubing Head Coach Tom Pokel shared these comments: “I liked how we played and then we got ourselves into trouble with two five-minute majors and too much penalty killing, and when we did move the puck, we made mistakes and Färjestad capitalized on it.”
This is the sole defeat Straubing hold at this point in the Group Stage as they’re fresh off their second win against Comarch Cracovia, this time with a final score of 3-2 at home.
As for Färjestad, they currently remain undefeated and leading in Group F, after overpowering Villach SV 2-1. Färjestad has accumulated nine points thus far, with Straubing following in the second slot with six.
Do Straubing have what it takes to knock down the undefeated Swedes with the home ice advantage, or will Färjestad retain their winning streak?
