After two frustrating games, HV71 Jönköping’s offence finally broke out in Esbjerg with a 7-2 win, including 4 power-play goals. In a balanced attack, seven different HV71 players scored, while Lawrence Pilut led the points parade with 3 assists. Colin Vock scored both of Esbjerg’s goals.
There was only one goal in the first period, with Martin Thörnberg scoring his first CHL goal of the season on a rebound on the power play, and it looked like it might be another game where HV71’s offence got frustrated. However, Kevin Stenlund finished off a nice passing play just 33 seconds into the second period and the rout was on from there.
