- Helsinki won in overtime in their first game against Mladá Boleslav
- Teams trade goals in the second period and go into the third period tied
- Eero Teräväinen scores game winner in the third
Action on Game Day four continued with a Group B matchup between IFK Helsinki as they welcomed BK Mladá Boleslav to town after Helsinki took an overtime win in the first meeting between the two sides on Game Day two.
It was a physical affair in Helsinki with both teams getting familiar with the penalty box, with 10 penalty minutes dished out in a scoreless first period.
It was no surprise then that it took a powerplay in the second to finally open the scoring. As Adam Raška fired a quick one-timer from in tight to beat Niilo Halonen to give Mladá Bolelsav the lead.
Helsinki had to wait, but they managed to find their reply late in the second period through Elis Hede who was given time out front and finished off a lovely bit of play by Juha Jääskä. Jääskä outmuscled his way towards net, before playing the puck right to the tape of Hede who made no mistake and buried his opportunity to tie things up at one apiece heading into the third period.
It was an advantage for Helsinki early in the third as Eero Teräväinen made use of the bodies out in front, blasting a shot through traffic to give the hosts their first lead of the night.
Mladá Boleslav tried to get themselves back into the game but couldn't find a second to tie it up, then as they ran into penalty trouble, at one point having two in the box it just ticked seconds off the clock, limiting their chance of tying the game. However, the defence held firm to not fall further behind.
They did get a powerplay of their own inside the final three minutes of the game, they pulled the goalie for a two man advantage, but couldn't set up the looks they wanted, moving the puck well but not pulling the trigger on the shot too often.
