- Matěj Paulovič: 1+2 for Mountfield
- Dwight King: goal for Graz
- Both teams knew their group placement before the game
The Frölunda Indians' win last night in Cardiff already secured their spot in the next round, but nonetheless Mountfield HK went out and defeated the Graz99ers 7-1 to close out the Group H schedule in Hrádec Králove, Czech Republic. They finish second in the group, while Graz finish fourth.
Mountfield pressed hard in the first period, carrying the play by a wide edge but Cristopher Nihlstorp was solid in net. They were only able to beat him once in the opening 20 minutes, with Jordann Perret taking advantage of a bounce off the end boards and scoring from a sharp angle.
Graz came out stronger in the second period and in the 28th minute they tied it when Dwight King deflected Oliver Setzinger's slapper from the side boards. However, Mountfield regained the lead six minutes later and never looked back. Tomáš Vincour got things started, banging home a rebound to make it 2-1.
The score was still close after two periods but the floodgates opened in the third, with Mountfield pouring in five goals to secure a 7-1 victory. Matej Paulovič got things started by scoring the third goal to go along with his two assists in the game, as seven different players scored in the victory.
