Each Wednesday we're going to tell you some things you might not know about our stars in this season's Champions Hockey League, especially what they do off the ice. This week we look at an Italian forward with a sweet hobby outside of hockey!
Lots of players have fun interests - some like to photograph, others cook, but HC Bolzano's Daniel Frank has gone one further. The 24-year old winger owns his own ice creme parlour in his hometown of Merano, close to Bolzano.
Frank grew up playing hockey in Italy, and then spent two seasons abroad with the Red Bull Hockey Academy in Austria, and ESV Kaufbaren in Germany. He returned home in 2012 to play for his home-town club, before moving to Bolzano in 2013. Since then he's been an ever present in the Foxes' lineup, and has won two EBEL Championships with the team! Frank has also represented Italy from U18s all the way to the senior side, with seven caps so far for the full team.
