Upon conclusion of the 2019/20 Champions Hockey League season, the final standings in the League Ranking are now confirmed.
As confirmed before the final, Germany will receive four places in next season’s CHL at the expense of the Czech Republic, who drop down to three. Despite Mountfield HK reaching the final, the average performance of all teams from the Extraliga saw the league as only the fourth-best league overall this season. Combined with their results over the past four seasons saw them fall behind both Germany and Finland.
The DEL has four teams in the CHL next season for the first time. Performance of Red Bull Munich, Augsburger Panther and Adler Mannheim helped Germany finish as the second-strongest league this season.
A run to the Playoffs for Yunost Minsk helped Belarus finish as the strongest country from the Challenger League, while the UK climbed several places to eighth overall.
